Orchard use attractant to control pest related knowledge

The technology of attracting pests by sexual attractants is a green prevention and control technology advocated by the state in recent years. The principle is that male synthetic moths release some chemical components called sex pheromones after sexual maturity, and attract male moths that seek mating in the orchard. It is trapped in the trap, so that the female loses the chance of mating, can not effectively breed the offspring, reduce the population of the offspring and achieve the purpose of prevention and control. So how do orchards use sex attractants to kill insects?

Advantages of using sex attractants:

(1) High selectivity, each insect requires a unique formula and concentration, has a high degree of specificity, and has no attracting effect on other insect species;

(2) No drug resistance; Third, environmental safety, no pollution, 100% compatibility with other control technologies; Fourth, significantly improve the quality of agricultural products.

Sexual attractant application strategy:

(1) In the early stage of pest occurrence, when the density of the insect population is relatively low, it is used (ie, in the beginning of the wintering period of adult insects such as Spodoptera litura, Spodoptera exigua, Plutella xylostella, etc.);

(2) The treatment area should be larger than the range of movement of the pests, so as to reduce the re-invasion of mature females and affect the combination with other control methods, and exert the effect of comprehensive prevention and control.

How to use sex attractants:

According to the occurrence of insect pests in the orchard, a special attractant and trap are set up. Taking Ningbo Newkang attractant as an example, it is applied to vegetables. Generally, a special trap for Spodoptera litura is set per acre, and a trapped night is placed in each trap. 1 moth attractant; 1 beetworm special trap for every 1~2 mu, 1 trap for each trap; 3~5 plots of Plutella xylostella per acre, available paper Adhesives or basins as traps (keep the water level so that it is 1 cm from the lure).

The bottom of the special trap for Spodoptera litura, Spodoptera exigua, etc. is 20~30 cm from the top of the crop. The bottom of the Plutella xylostella trap should be close to the top of the crop, 10 cm from the top. Sex attractants are applied to fruit trees, and the height of the suspension is required to be about 1.5 meters from the ground. Two to three lures per acre are used.

Precautions:

(1) Due to the high sensitivity of sexual attractants, the lure of different kinds of pests is installed, and it is necessary to wash hands to avoid pollution;

(2) In general, replace the lure once a month or so;

(3) Clean up the dead insects in the trap at the right time, and do not fall around the field, need to be buried deeply;

(4) The trap can be reused.
