(1) Check the milling machine: Check the handle position of each part of the milling machine before work (each feed handle should be in the “neutral”), and fill the parts with lubricating oil according to the regulations. Then run at low speed for about three minutes to check the operation of the mechanical transmission part. There is abnormal noise in the main shaft gearbox and the feed gearbox, and whether the feed motion in all directions of the worktable is flexible and reliable, and whether the lubricating oil pump works normally. .

(2) Organizing the work site: The orderly work site is directly related to the length of the auxiliary time and the smooth progress of the milling process. Therefore, the work site and the environment should be carefully inspected and sorted after work every day, and the blanks and semi-finished products are clearly divided. As well as the storage area of ​​the finished product, minimize the transportation route. The surrounding area of ​​the work site should be kept clean and tidy, so as to prevent the debris from being piled up and prevented from tripping.

(3) Familiar with drawings and technical procedures: After receiving the machining task, the operator must first familiarize with the pattern of the workpiece, clarify the relationship between the projection surfaces and the line segments in the pattern, and see the dimensions and tolerances, geometric tolerances and surface roughness of each part. Other technical requirements, to understand the process specifications of the workpiece being processed. If there is any doubt, find a technician in time to ask for it and then process it.

(4) Check the blank of the workpiece to be processed: Check the size of the blank according to the pattern requirements, and then simply classify the blank according to the size of the machining allowance, so as to count the number in the blank, and then process it in the sort order. Blanks with residual casting sand, welding slag or burrs are first cleaned to prevent waste due to rough inspection or rough work. For workpiece blanks or semi-finished products transferred from the previous process, inspection shall be carried out according to the drawings and process cards. If there are any remaining processing and errors, the problems shall be reported to the relevant personnel in time.

(5) Determining the method of clamping the workpiece: Select and determine the method of clamping the workpiece according to the shape and processing requirements of the workpiece. For the slender and curved raw materials to be straightened and then clamped, the larger workpieces must be pre-measured and determined to the installation position, taking care to prevent waste due to deformation or improper clamping of the workpiece.

(6) Prepare milling cutters, tools and gauges: Prepare the milling cutters, tools and gauges before machining, and put them in the most convenient position according to the operation sequence (but not on the milling guide surface), so that you don't have to use them everywhere. Find it indiscriminately, which can reduce the auxiliary time.

In order to ensure the accuracy of the machining dimensions, the gauges used are checked against the inspector's gauges before the formal machining, according to the size requirements of the workpiece being machined.

2. Milling safety production

Operational safety and civilized production are the basis for preventing accidents, and it is also one of the important contents of doing business management. Every milling machine must attach great importance to it. The safety precautions are as follows:

1 Wear work clothes (no vests, shorts, scarves, slippers, or high heels) when you go to work, put on your sleeves, and tie the cuffs of your overalls. Female workers should wear a work cap and must not hang their hair and scorpion outside the cap to prevent the corners, cuffs, and bun from getting caught in the rotating parts. Do not wear gloves when operating the milling machine.

2 In milling, the head should not be too close to where it is being cut. Do not touch the rotating milling cutter or the surface of the workpiece close to the milling cutter by hand, otherwise it is easy to cut the finger. Use iron hooks when cleaning and cutting. The iron filings are very thin and sharp.

3 In milling, it is forbidden to wipe the moving parts such as the workpiece and the rotating milling cutter with cotton thread. Stop when measuring the workpiece. Never measure the workpiece size during cutting.

4 In high-speed milling, the operator should wear protective eyes.

5 workers, cards, measuring tools should be placed in a stable position to prevent falling and hurting people. The workpiece should be clamped firmly and reliably to prevent the workpiece from loosening during cutting and causing an accident.

6 When installing the workpiece or the indexing head or other heavier objects, do not go it alone. Ask someone to help or use the lifting equipment.

7 When using the grinding wheel, stand on the side of the grinding wheel to prevent the grinding wheel from breaking and causing injury.

8 Protective covers such as protective covers on the milling machine should not be dismantled at will, preventing the transmission belts, gears, etc. from being exposed outside and causing injury accidents.

10 During the operation of the vertical milling machine, it is not allowed to do things that are not related to the operation. When leaving the milling machine, the car should be shut down.
