China's titanium dioxide production will reach a new high in 2017

Since 2016, China's titanium dioxide price has bottomed out, rising from the lowest of 9,000 yuan / ton to the highest of 18,000 yuan / ton this year. Up to now, the average annual price of titanium dioxide in China is around 15000-16000 yuan / ton, and the profitability of enterprises is generally good. Affected by the good economy, some enterprises that have stopped production in previous years have also resumed or plan to resume production.
From the production point of view, although some parts of China are affected by environmental factors this year, the production capacity cannot be fully released. However, since the product price has been continuously at a high level, the production enthusiasm of the manufacturers is relatively high. It is expected that the annual production will continue to grow compared with last year. In the year, China's titanium dioxide production will reach 2.7 million tons, setting a new high in China's titanium dioxide production. The continued growth of exports this year is an important factor in maintaining a good market momentum. Last year, China's export of titanium dioxide accounted for 28% of the country's total output. It is expected that this proportion will increase to about 30% this year. The active export market has reduced the pressure on the domestic market and maintained the high price of titanium dioxide.
Since entering November, the performance of the titanium dioxide market has weakened, mainly due to the gradual weakening of domestic demand. On the supply side, after entering the heating season, some titanium dioxide enterprises in China will face limited production, and the market supply will shrink. In view of the current situation, industry experts believe that in the future, the price of titanium dioxide in China will not have the conditions for large increase, nor the possibility of a big drop. The recent market price will be adjusted slightly.
