According to statistics, since 2013, the country has shut down 3.38 million tons of electrolytic aluminum production capacity. In 2013, the investment in fixed assets of the aluminum smelting industry fell by 12% year-on-year; from January to September this year, it decreased by 31% year-on-year, and the overheating of investment in electrolytic aluminum projects was significantly curbed. At the same time, investment in the aluminum rolling processing industry has grown significantly, from January to September this year, a year-on-year increase of 26.5%. This "a drop of one liter" indicates that the investment structure of the aluminum industry is being extended to the downstream and the structure has been continuously optimized, but the pressure to resolve production capacity is still very high.

"Aluminum formwork industry has significant energy-saving and emission-reduction effects." Chen Quanmian, president of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, has calculated an account. In addition, the aluminum template installation is 3 to 5 days less than wood or steel molds. The construction speed is fast, and the stability is good, the bearing capacity is strong, the surface quality of the concrete is smooth, the plastering process can be reduced, and the wall surface quality is good.

According to statistics, at present, only 60 to 80 companies are registered in the production of aluminum formwork in China. In 2013, the output of aluminum formwork was only 500,000 square meters, which was less than 1% of the total amount of formwork. Chen Quanxun believes that according to the current development trend, the market share of aluminum formwork will greatly increase. If the aluminum formwork market share reaches 10%, the amount of aluminum used will reach 2 million tons.

"China has not yet established a unified aluminum formwork product standard, which is not conducive to standardization of production, affecting product quality and versatility, reducing the number of turnover, thereby reducing the overall benefits of aluminum templates." Chen Quanxun said.

In this regard, Luo Tiejun revealed that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is working out related standards and norms, so as to promote the application of aluminum in the construction field. Luo Tiejun also stated that the cost of aluminum alloy formwork is higher than that of wood formwork and steel formwork, and there are a large number of non-standard items, which results in higher initial costs of sales and use of the enterprise. To encourage the full development of domestic leasing operations, thereby accelerating product promotion and application.
